Spot the difference

I managed to grab some time today to do a spot of basing on my Spencer Smith ACW figures whilst on a long conference call for work.

Any way here are some pictures of some of figures side by side.

Can you spot the difference.

I will give you a clue. One is a metal figure available today from Spencer Smith miniatures where as the other is a plastic figures circa the sixties/seventies

In photos 1 and 2 the left hand figure is metal and the right hand one in photo 3.

Are the metal ones slightly bulkier ? - they match well though .

I think the plastic ones are old Spencer-Smith and the metal ones are from SAE (Swedish African Engineers)

Hi John

The metal ones are new castings from Spencer Smith Miniatures.

I don't have any SAE figures but I believe the original Plastic figures were bases on these.

I keeping looking out for SAE figures but have not been able to obtain any yet.

Hi Mark,

Have you looked on EBAY for SAE figures? I have found a lot on there, mostly ACW but also some obscure ones.
