This morning I finished the 5th Line Lancers I started earlier this month.
The figures are a mix of Hinton Hunt and DK figures
Now the unit is painted the DK figures are a little harder to recognise and the unit looks rather smart in their nice green uniforms. I used Vallejo Flat Green for the uniforms.

Really lovely!
Smashing group.
Very nice figures; personally my second favorite Napoleonic uniform.
Smart work as usual Mark.

The green jackets really pop and your stippling for the sheepskin is a fun take on an old school look. Really nice figures Mark.
Nice work Mark!
Very nicely done and totally agree on the clever way you've done the sheepskin shabraque

These are beautiful - I love, and am jealous of, the precision of your paint job. It's the clean paining that really gives them that old-school look.
I can spot the DKs hiding in there, but only because I know what to look for, the shorter lances. If you didn't know I doubt you'd ever notice as I can't see any other differences.
You done a splendid job with these Mark...
I certainly don’t think the differences between the figures are too obvious .
I look forward to seeing the whole unit.
All the best. Aly
Thanks Purps. I just need to complete the second squadron. I need a change however so will be doing a couple of Prussian batteries next.
I have to ask - what is your favourite uniform ?
Thanks Jim. It is not too often I get to paint Green uniforms.
Hi David. The stippling is simple to do but I think looks effective as it adds to the effect of the overall black lining.
Thanks Stryker. They have relative simple uniform but still took longer to paint than I expected. But then I always take longer than I plan.
Thanks Chris. It the same technique I used to use on camouflage uniforms except I use off white and white dots.
The short lance is a give away. Its the clean lines and depth of colour that takes the time to complete.
Hi Aly. Now the unit is completed it is far harder to the see the differences.
They have come up brilliantly! Marvellous.
Regards, James
These are stunning Mark. Well done! You deserve a break though. Prussian gunners ought to do the trick!
Best regards
WM
Another lovely unit, Mark. So very impressive.
