Hinton Hunt - French 8th Elite Hussars

I have almost finished my french cavalry squadron representing the elite sdn of the 8th Hussars. They just need second coat of gloss varnish and humbol grass green on the bases.

The figures are from John Cunninghams recast range and have painted up nicely.

I have decided to base my figures on 30 by 30mm mdf bases with 2 cavalry or 4 infantry. I will also base a few infantry on 30 by 15 and 15 by 15 to allow for casualty removal. 2 figures in each cavalry squadron will based singly on 15 by 30.

I have decided to use this basing as it works well if I use Charge having infantry and cavalry on the same frontage.

So having painted Hungarians and Hussars I am going to paint some Minifig 20mm French Infantry. Hopefully these will be easier as the uniforms are less complex.

I. Am. Smitten. In the manliest way possible, of course. Seriously though, what a fantastic paintjob.

Best Regards,
